Cordic has developed their Taxi software to simplify daily processes and operations in the dispatch and administration. Cordic’s first priority is that your system stays up and running no matter what. Every major component has a backup system. However, to ensure that it never gets that far Cordic developed the "cPAQ Health Monitor" which monitors the whole application and provides “first aid” to any problems that it finds. Cordic keeps you up and running where other systems fail. The Cordic cPAQ Taxi Software is composed of the following 4 program modules:
cPAQ Taxi Software
The cPAQ Taxi Software is quick and easy to use. With Caller Line ID a job can be automatically dispatched. You chose the level of interaction with the system. The modular structure of the cPAQ Taxi Software can meet every Taxi Dispatch need from 15 to 1500 Taxis. Every job is dispatched without delays regardless of how many Taxis are in the system. Some of the components are:
Caller Line ID
The dispatcher can greet the customer by name and strengthen your company’s relationship to your customers. The name and pickup address is automatically displayed with the caller’s number.
Last job displayed plus the option to display the last 9 jobs
Additionally the dispatcher can call up the customer’s last nine jobs. Once approved the job information is automatically imported into the Booking screen and dispatched.
Address search function with short cuts
The address search function automatically generates a list of potential subjects after the first 2 letters typed in. The choices for this list are related to your covered service area. If an address outside your service area is needed you must simply type “*” and the search is conducted throughout the complete nationwide Postcode address database. Optionally the dispatcher can create a short cut for the address that can be used for future searches.
Pre-bookings, Regular Bookings, Multiple Pickups
The Cordic cPAQ Taxi Software never forgets a job. You can enter Pre and regular bookings and these will be automatically dispatched. Multiple pickups can be optimised with the Cordic route planner. Every stop will be displayed separately on the taxi device and charged accordingly with the multiple pickup software.
Booking Filters
Booking filters can be changed to make sure that the job is sent to a driver / taxi that meets the requirements for the job (i.e. 7 seater or car seat). These filters are set by you and can be set for your accounts, customers, drivers and taxis.
Complete Automatic Dispatch
Normally, jobs are dispatched automatically using queues (sometimes known as zones or plots). You divide your operating area into as many queues as you like, each covering a certain geographical area - a queue can be as big or as small as necessary, even down to a single rank (such as a hotel). Drivers are automatically booked on to queues depending on their location. When a job is booked, it is assigned to a queue according to its pick-up location and then offered to the first driver in that queue. The job offer immediately appears on the driver's screen. If he accepts the job - great. If not, cPAQ offers it to the next driver in turn, and so on. You can also define back-up queues, so that if a job is not accepted by any driver in a queue, cPAQ tries drivers in the backup queues. This guarantees that the work is allocated fairly to your drivers - first come, first served - and also makes sure that work is always offered first to nearby drivers.
Manual Dispatch
Alternatively, the operator has the option of allocating a job to a particular driver or vehicle. There may be several reasons for doing this - just to get the work covered, or for a school run where the same driver does it every day. The operator can also add backup drivers or vehicles, in case the first driver is busy or rejects the job.
You can decide on the best driver for the job by dragging the job onto the map which shows the location of all your cars and then dropping the job onto the chosen driver.
Customer Accounts and Charges
cPAQ allows you to set up accounts specifying the customer or company name, address and contact details. Each account can have any number of job types - such as metered, fixed price, airport and so on. And each job type can have its own set of charges, which can be as simple or as complicated as you like. You can charge for whatever you like - fare, booking fee, distance, waiting time, etc. You can charge by the mile, by the minute, or anything else you can think of. Job prices can be calculated automatically by the system, entered by the operator when the job is booked, or entered by the driver when the job is cleared. You can charge different amounts at evenings and weekends - and holidays too. You can charge different amounts for different kinds of vehicles and you can even set up a minimum fare, or a fare which goes up in steps like a taximeter. You can also give the customer the first 30 minutes waiting time free. For each charge you can say how much the customer will pay, how much the driver will get and how much you will. keep. The authority to set up these accounts is completely in your control.
Tracking and Fleet Control
Do you know where your Taxis are? Their status? When they will arrive at the customer? It's easier to control your fleet when you know where they are. With GPS in the vehicles, you can track your drivers and see a live display of their position and speed on a map. You can use different filters to search and monitor different taxi statuses. For example you can search all free taxis cPAQ and stores these positions and logs. Every detail of a Job's history can be brought up and you can go back and see, for example, where the Driver was at a particular time, how fast he was driving, and the route he took for a particular Job. Logs are also kept of all actions taken by the dispatch as well as the administrator so that there is transparency at all times. This is appreciated by all.

cPAQ Taxi Administrator Software
With the Cordic cPAQ Administrator Software you can manage and control your company’s total operations. You can create Accounts, Invoices, Driver Statements, Driver Control Parameters, Driver Filters, Vehicle Filters, Taxi Devices, Dispatch Areas, Address Shortcuts, General System and Communications parameters.
A few of the main components are:
Account Creation and Management
Accounts are created in order to enable automatic invoicing or to allow a specific charge to be associated to a specific job for example fixed price jobs. The customer account is composed of the following four elements: customer data, billing data, custom charges (created by you) and account access permission. The fare account is created through a billing formula that you design yourself. Other components that can be added and controlled through these accounts are: signature capture, billing layout, salary/payment statements for drivers, owners and / or dispatch.
Calculating Fares
With its built-in map-based routing engine, cPAQ can automatically price jobs based on the trip distance (from the pick-up, to the destination, including any vias). If you prefer, jobs can be priced automatically according to a "price matrix". This is a table of distances or charges based on a starting and ending location. These locations are based on full or partial postcodes. Depending on how you set up these tables you can have zone-to zone prices, fixed-price trips such as airport Jobs, or even pick-up fees for certain locations.
Manage and create queues (Zone)
To utilise automatic dispatching you have to create Queues in your service areas using polygons. These zones can be created using the digital maps in the Cordic system and contain your holding areas as well. You simply click on the map on the area that you want to create a zone in and then draw in the polygon. The system then creates a lead time and the method of dispatch (position or distance). Every zone has multiple backup areas. The zones can be as big as the whole service area or as small as your holding area and can be changed at anytime.
Address shortcuts and digital map updates
Address shortcuts can be created by you or the dispatcher, if you give them that privilege, directly in the booking screen. Or if you prefer you can set the shortcuts in the Administrator software. Another function of the address shortcut screen is that you can manage addresses directly on the map. Just mark the address on the map; add your description and the map is updated to include the new address. The coordinates are automatically sent with the job directly to the driver’s device and the navigation software.
Customer black list
The customer black list is designed to control problem customers and / or addresses. There are a number of different options when dealing with problem customers. You can decide how the customer will be dealt with for example the dispatcher will see a warning regarding the customer, or the customer will not be picked up or dropped off at a certain address, or in the worst case the customer will not be accepted at all.
Driver / Driver Administration
With the Cordic software you can manage and set filters for all of your drivers and vehicles. For the drivers you can set up filters and control parameters along with the personal data. The 35 control parameters for the driver are very extensive. A few of these control parameters are: control of the in taxi mobile device keyboard, access password, how often the driver can reject a job, if the driver is locked out of the system and how long, does the mobile device have to be in the holder in order to accept a job or how long the driver has to return the device to the holder before the job is given to someone else. The cPAQ solution also manages scheduling and appointments for taxis and drivers i.e. Driver’s license expires in 2 weeks, or taxi is scheduled for inspection in 3 days. The driver receives a notice 2 weeks before the scheduled event so that they know the deadline is coming. If the event is not dealt with to the satisfaction of the administrator the driver can be locked out until he has met the demands.
Manage general system parameters
The system parameter screen contains the control setting for the 7 main parameters: Dispatch, Driver, Vehicle, Dispatcher, Mobile device, Accounts, Calendar, Telephone system, SMS and Email configuration as well as the communications settings.

cPAQ Taxi Billing Software
Cordic´s cPAQ Billing Software is seamless integrated into the whole solution. All credit and invoiced jobs are automatically inputted into the billing software either in the standard format in a custom format that you create to meet your needs. Other functions include the management of credit and debit for customers, drivers and owners. Numerous ports are available for ease of use.
Some of the main components are
Customer billing
All jobs undertaken for a customer are listed in detail. Even jobs without a noted drop off point can be computed using the GPS in the mobile devices. Using the coordinates saved in the logs the system can then compute the drop off point and bill accordingly. The billing layout can be created to meet a specific customer’s needs and can also include customer credit and debit.
Owner billing
Using the Cordic solution you can create a detailed invoice for every owner and their drivers. All jobs that are carried out will be billed according to a set formula specified by you. For example, 40% for the central and 60% for the owner or $2 for every job dispatched. The billing layout is adaptable for every owner and fleet. Also, payments for central fees, rental devices, and commissions as well as payments on hotels and restaurants can be automatically integrated into the invoicing.
Driver billing
You can also prepare a detailed invoice for every driver. It is adaptable for every driver and can be made to include your custom billing formulas. There is also a function which manages central fees, rental payments and daily cash transactions. To ensure that the central fees are paid on time you can set a payment deadline in the system. This will lock the driver out of the system until they have settled their fees.
Credit card billing
Credit card jobs are automatically assigned to the corresponding owner or driver. When integrating credit card jobs into the billing you can decide if the sum should be credited immediately or later when the payment has been received.

cPAQ Mobile Taxi Software
Cordic cPAQ Mobile Taxi Software offer you the highest operating security in the taxi industry. No other Mobile PPC taxi solution has an automatic backup system for GPRS. The cPAQ Mobile Taxi Software takes total control of the mobile device
The driver only has access to the cPAQ and navigation software. All other applications are password protected. Receiving and accepting of jobs is uncomplicated even for beginners. The display keys are big and easy to use. Online credit card acceptance and authorisation without additional hardware costs. The mobile taxi device can be installed fixed in the vehicle and enhanced with a combox that can, for example, enable the connection to a taxi meter.
Some of the key elements are:
Automatic installation of the mobile cPAQ Software
With the press of a button is the whole mobile application installed on the mobile device. It is that easy. This includes the communication parameters, navigation software, as well as driver and vehicle. Software updates are carried out completely online. The mobile device can be programmed to be used by numerous drivers but it remains registered to one vehicle.
Driver specific mobile device screen
The mobile device screen can be individually configured for meet every driver’s needs. The software display configuration is managed in the administrator software and can be configured so that for example, the job reject button is removed or that the job is offered without the pickup address showing in the initial job offer.
Easy job processing
The receiving and carrying out of jobs using the Cordic software is easy and generally requires no schooling. The whole process is completed in four or five easy steps. The driver is sent the job. It rings on the mobile device and depending on how the administrator has configured it the job details will be blended onto the screen. When the driver takes the job their status will be immediately changed on the dispatch screen. The driver can now activate the navigation software and the pickup address will be automatically integrated into the navigation system. Upon arrival at the pickup address the driver pushes the Arrived button and lets dispatch know that the taxi has arrived. Next Passenger on Board is pushed which automatically calculates the waiting time and blends in the drop off address. The method of payment calculation is then chosen. This can be either the amount shown on the taxi meter or per kilometer / minute, or amount of packages carried. When the customer wishes to pay with credit card they simply hand the card to the driver who then swipes it in the credit card reader / printer which then automatically processes the card. It is also possible to manually input the credit card data and process it that way. Once the card is authorised the customer can then sign for the charges on the mobile device.
Holding area and pre-booking information
The driver has an overview of all pre-booking and taxi in whichever zone the administrator allows. Jobs can also be given based upon tenders which means that whoever sees and accepts the job first gets
Interactive communication
The two way communication between driver and dispatcher is controlled through 12 custom messages. These automatically change depending upon the status of the driver. The dispatcher has the possibility to choose from a row of predefined messages including potential answers or they can create the messages and answers themselves. It is also possible to simply click on the driver and speak directly to them.
Job history
Using the job book application the driver can see every detail of the jobs they have done. This eliminates problems and discrepencies.
Emergency Button
The emergency button is certified for the German market so that there is no need for additional hardware installation.
